Full-time | 1-year contract (with extension potential)
This senior leadership role will lead NLT’s community development and community-based governance activities, working closely with our Board, staff, members, tenants, community partners and broader community networks. We are particularly interested in candidates with significant community development experience in Parkdale and demonstrated leadership in areas such as community-based governance, tenant and member engagement, community economic development, relationship building, equity and anti-oppression.
At this stage, NLT is inviting interested candidates to complete the short Expression of Interest (EOI) linked below. Strategic Planning Consultant Services
The Neighbourhood Land Trust (NLT) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or consulting teams to support the development of our new 2027–2031 Strategic Plan.
Over the past five years, NLT has experienced significant growth in our affordable housing portfolio, organizational capacity, community partnerships, and role within the community land trust movement. We are now looking for an experienced consultant to lead a collaborative and participatory strategic planning process that will help shape the next five years of our work.
The successful consultant or team will work with NLT staff, Board members, tenants, members, partners, and community stakeholders to:
- Review previous strategic and organizational plans
- Facilitate leadership planning sessions and participatory stakeholder workshops
- Identify emerging opportunities, challenges, and strategic priorities
- Develop a clear and actionable 2027–2031 Strategic Plan and Implementation Framework
- Support the design and production of the final Strategic Plan
We are particularly interested in consultants with experience in strategic planning, participatory engagement, equity-centred planning, non-profit or community development, and affordable housing. Experience working with community land trusts, tenant-led organizations, Indigenous organizations, or social justice movements is a key asset.
