At the core of our community-controlled model are our committees, where we convert strategic zeal into actionable plans and impact! The committees support both the PNLT’s and NLT’s work. Each committee typically meets once a month in person or virtually, or as needed.
The Acquisition Committee plays a central role in supporting staff to prepare and execute property acquisitions and associated financial planning. The work involves reviewing property due diligence reports, pro formas, and overall business plans. This is an invite-only committee due to the specialized expertise needed and confidential nature of the discussions. If you are interested, please request an invitation!
The Governance Committee takes a lead in developing the policy and governance framework for the Land Trust to support stewardship of our team, board, volunteers, partners and priorities, and seeks to apply an equity lens that reflects our values and principles.
The Resource Development Committee takes the lead in organizing fundraising campaigns for core operations and works with staff to identify grant opportunities and build relationships with funders and donors.
